Jolanta Kosek was born near Kraków, Poland. Ever since she was a little girl, she was fascinated by the outdoors and nature; especially bees. From her early childhood, it was her dream to become a beekeeper and tend to nature's hardest workers. After attending one of the most prestigious universities in Poland, and finishing her degree in New York City's Hunter College, she began working in pharmaceutical immunology. After almost 12 years living near New York City, the Kosek family moved to the quaint town of Chester, NJ, in which their new land provided Jola with enough space for her lifelong dream: an apiary.
